We would like to reassure you we are open and offering appointments.
We are still prioritising appointments based on patient need, whilst following the COVID guidelines set out by the Chief Dental Officer for England and Public Health England. It is certainly NOT business as usual but we are now in a position to offer a limited number of routine appointments. We appreciate you will be keen to secure an appointment as soon as possible but we ask for your continued help, patience and understanding.
Please DO NOT attend the practice unless you have an appointment.
Patient safety and comfort remain our priority and this is why we have introduced the following measures to keep our patients and staff safer than ever.
The practice was always a very clean and safe environment, however we have taken the following measures to help reduce the chance of cross-contamination.
- pre-appointment screening checks are carried out
- hand sanitiser has been placed at various points
- every patient is required to rinse with a mouthwash prior to their appointment
- temperature checks
- the patient journey has been redesigned in line with social distancing rules
- our staff wear the appropriate PPE at all times
- air purifiers have been installed in the surgeries
- a perspex screen has been installed at reception
- patients will not be asked to sign paperwork as before, instead our staff will mark it as "Covid-19" this measure has been taken to reduce the chance of cross-contamination
Appointments are arranged in a way which allow longer gaps between each patient. This ensures that the practice and waiting room is not overcrowded and should give you peace of mind that you can attend the practice whilst maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with Government social distancing rules.
Clinics for patients who are most vulnerable have been created to help minimise contact with others whilst they are at the practice.
To further avoid overcrowding when you arrive, we ask that you wait in a safe place outside of the practice until called in by one of our team members. Please note that patients MUST attend alone unless you are under 16 or require assistance.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide toilet facilites at this time.
Where possible payments should be made using a contactless card, alternatively payment can be taken over the phone prior to your appointment, this is a crucial step which greatly reduces touch points at the practice.
Between all appointments as always, the team thoroughly disinfect the surgery, reducing the risk of exposure to anything harmful while you are in the chair.
All of the above is obviously having a huge impact on our normal daily routines and in turn it means we are unable to see the same number of patients per day, therefore the appointment availability is greatly reduced.
We thank you for your continued understanding and patience during this extremely difficult time and we look forward to seeing you as soon as is possible.
